Beginning in May 1999, Club Cubase Edmonton is one of the oldest chapters in the world.
The Edmonton chapter typically meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm, in the Music Technology Lab at Grant MacEwan University. The lab is in the Centre for the Arts And Communications, along the middle corridor of the bottom floor (watch for signs!). Club Cubase Edmonton is run by Marcel Hamel and Richard Craig. Marcel is currently the Coordinator of Music Technology, and Instructional Assistant with the Music Program at Grant MacEwan University. He is also a MacEwan alumnus, and has also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Synthesis/Production from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. He remains active in Music Production in the Edmonton area, and conducts music technology workshops across the country. Richard Craig has retired after 25 years as a Producer with CBC Radio, picking up 2 Juno awards and 2 Canadian Music Council awards along the way. As a keyboardist, guitarist, composer and arranger, he remains active with music and technology at his home studio and around Edmonton.
