Guitar Recording Tour in BC - July 2010 |
These free clinics will cover the setup, recording, and mixing process for anybody interested in making music with their computer. Aimed at guitar players, topics will include:
- Configuring an audio interface
- Connecting your guitar to your computer
- Recording and editing the perfect take
- Accompanying yourself with virtual instruments
- Effects and mixing
- …and more!
These events will feature Steinberg’s CI2 interface and Cubase 5.5 software, and will include a special presentation on Amplitube 3, the premiere amp and effect modeling software from our friends at IK Multimedia. As a special bonus, everybody who attends a clinic will be eligible for a free copy of Amplitube X-GEAR, and will be entered into a draw for a Yamaha N-Series Digital Mixing Studio.

HALion Sonic and CI1 - Now Shipping in Canada |

July 14, 2010 - Our first shipment of HALion Sonic has just arrived in Yamaha Canada Music's Toronto Warehouse, and will begin shipping immediately to dealers nationwide.
HALion Sonic is the newest virtual instrument from Steinberg, and the much-anticipated successor to Hypersonic 2. An upgrade is available from Hypersonic 2 and HALion Player.
The new Steinberg CI1 is also now shipping in Canada. This 24-bit USB interface offers two mic/line combo inputs with switchable phantom power, and a switchable Hi-Z input on the first channel to connect an electric guitar or bass. The CI1 includes Sequel LE and Wavelab LE, offering a complete music production environment at a great low price.

Nuendo 5 Grace Period - Updated |

July 8, 2010 - Canadian customers who purchased Nuendo 4 or an upgrade to Nuendo 4 after April 1, 2010 may be eligible for a Grace Period upgrade to Nuendo 5 at a special price.
Grace Period upgrades will be facilitated directly from Yamaha Canada Music. For submission details, please click here to visit the Yamaha Canada Music website. From the "Contact Us" form in the "Computer Music" section, select "Steinberg" as the topic, and include in the comments that you are interested in the Nuendo 5 Grace Period upgrade. Within 1 business day, you should receive a response with full details and instructions of how to submit your proof of purchase.
